The BillionaireList API gives you the same data as the site in a form your systems can use: the ranking with filters, full profiles, net worth history and daily changes. Every net worth figure comes with its date and its source, as separate fields.
The API is included in the Data and Enterprise plans. For an overview of what the API is for, code samples and how it compares with scraping public rankings, see the billionaires API page.
Plans and quotas
| Plan | Price | API requests per month | Webhooks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Data | $199 per month, or $99 per month billed yearly | 50,000 | Daily changes |
| Enterprise | $499 per month, or $249 per month billed yearly | 500,000 | Daily changes |
Quotas count requests made in your billing period and reset when a new period starts. When you exceed the quota, the API answers with status 429 until the next period or until you move to a higher plan. Your current usage is shown in your account next to your keys.
Authentication
Create a key in your account under API. Send it with every request in the Authorization header.
Authorization: Bearer <key>
Keys are shown once when created and stored only as hashes. You can revoke a key at any time, and it stops working immediately.

All responses are JSON in UTF-8. Amounts are whole US dollars. Dates use the format YYYY-MM-DD.

Webhooks
On Data and Enterprise you can register a webhook URL in your account. After the daily ranking rebuild we send one POST request with the day's changes in the same shape as the /changes response. Each delivery is signed with a secret shown in your account, so you can verify it came from us. Failed deliveries are retried.
